About the RoleAs a Senior Attorney, you will manage a diverse caseload involving transportation and logistics litigation, including trucking and regulatory compliance matters. You will play a key role in developing case strategies, conducting legal research, and providing sound counsel to clients on emerging legal issues in the transportation sector. Key Responsibilities- Independently manage litigation cases from inception through resolution, ensuring timely and effective handling of all phases.
- Conduct in‑depth legal research and analysis related to transportation laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents with precision and clarity.
- Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations, demonstrating strong advocacy skills.
- Negotiate settlements and agreements, leveraging strategic thinking and persuasive communication.
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff across multiple offices to ensure seamless case management and client service.
- Prepare detailed case analysis reports for client stakeholders, focusing on proactive resolution strategies.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA‑accredited law school.
- Active admission to practice in Texas.
- Minimum of 8 years of general casualty litigation experience.
- First and/or second chair trial experience strongly preferred; trial experience required.
- Background in transportation, logistics, trucking, and related regulatory matters preferred.
- Familiarity with emerging e‑commerce and gig economy legal issues is a plus.
- Strong deposition and motion practice experience required.
- Exceptional analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software.
