Firm:
A leading AM Law 100 firm with over 1,500 attorneys across 20+ offices, specializing in high-stakes litigation, corporate transactions, and regulatory matters. They represent Fortune 500 companies, leading private equity funds, and high-growth enterprises across industries such as technology, healthcare, financial services, and energy.
Role:The General Of Counsel will serve as the primary legal advisor to the firm, overseeing internal legal matters, risk management, compliance, and, in some cases, providing high-level legal services to clients.
Responsibilities:- Advise the firm on legal risks, including professional liability, conflicts of interest, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Ensure adherence to legal ethics rules, bar association guidelines, and industry standards.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including client engagement agreements, vendor contracts, and partnership agreements.
- Manage malpractice claims, ethical complaints, or disputes involving the firm.
- Oversee insurance policies, including professional liability and general business coverage.
Counsel firm leadership on business decisions, such as mergers, acquisitions, or expansion into new practice areas.
Qualifications:- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the bar.
- 10+ years of legal practice.
- Hybrid
- Base Salary: $450-480k+, commensurate with experience.
- Additional Compensation:
