Client Relations Manager, Engineering

As a Client Relations Manager you will coordinate business development efforts within LEO A DALY’s Engineering market sector. This position is responsible for initiating and maintaining extensive contacts with key potential clientele, industry representatives, organizations, and companies identified within the market’s strategic plan. The candidate is responsible for driving results to exceed new business contracted goals by overseeing public relations activities and proactively collaborating with LEO A DALY’s Engineering Senior Director.

You must promote and establish collaboration and individual leadership within the team to identify, acquire, and retain new and current clientele relationships. Continued review of the market strategy and collaboration with the Senior Director on developing capture plans, marketing campaigns, and implementing process improvements based on evidence, observations, trends, and client feedback.

Client Relations Managers must lead by example, assuming full and direct responsibility for all business development activities in the Engineering market. You will report to the Senior Director - Engineering and will assist the Director, Director of Operations, Marketing Team, and others in identifying personnel and resource needs for pursuit teams, evaluating scope and scheduling requirements of opportunities, and transitioning opportunities from pursuits to contracted work.

While the geographic area covered is national, a special focus will be on the South and Southeast United States.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (Marketing, Business, Communications, Architecture, or Engineering preferred).
  • 5+ years of professional experience in business development within a related industry. Experience in multi-disciplinary Architectural Design/Interior Design/Engineering firms and exposure to engineering market segment preferred.
  • Robust existing professional network within the engineering market sector and a drive to grow their network.
  • Excellent time management, organization skills, and flexibility to change direction according to team needs.
  • Self‑motivated professional who is accountable and disciplined.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable in social settings, and a connector within the marketplace.
  • Creative thinker willing to implement ideas and follow through effectively.
  • Continuous improvement minded, driven by excellence.
  • A team player willing to hold others accountable.
  • Avid researcher with a detective mindset through intelligent questions.
  • Effective communicator who is highly organized and able to multitask effectively.
  • Deltek Vantagepoint CRM and Microsoft Office competencies.
