The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the appointed Senior Development Manager will be the engine behind our client’s aggressive Sun Belt pipeline, driving the future of urban living and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and exceeding partnership expectations.
Responsibilities- Execution Ownership:
Managing project financing, zoning, design coordination, and permitting for a multi-site portfolio totalling $150M+ in capital deployment. - Cost Certainty:
Being the critical bridge between the design team and the General Contractor (GC), mastering the pre-construction phase to eliminate cost overruns and maintain the proforma. - Creative Finance:
Navigating and securing complex financing structures, including tax credits (e.g., LIHTC), TIFs, and municipal incentives, to unlock project viability. - CDO Partnership:
Providing strategic input on market entry, site selection, and risk assessment for future deals.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in ground-up multifamily development (mid-rise/high-rise preferred).
- Deep expertise in the specific regulatory environment of TX/NC.
- Proven ability to manage owner-side construction oversight and value engineering processes.
