Job SummaryWe need a battle‑ready Manufacturing Engineer to forge steel parts that defend the U.S. homeland. With 5+ years of experience, you’ll design and optimize processes in our facility, wielding CAD tools (Solid Works/AutoCAD) like weapons to ensure precision and efficiency. Expect tight deadlines, high stakes, and an ISO 9001 battlefield where you’ll lead with a hands‑on, “in the trenches” approach.
Key Responsibilities- Forge steel parts for defense systems, optimizing processes for maximum efficiency and quality.
- Use Solid Works/AutoCAD to design line layouts, fixtures, and tools that keep production razor‑sharp.
- Lead factory acceptance testing (FAT) to ensure equipment meets mission‑critical standards.
- Create standard work instructions (SWIs) to lock in consistency under ISO 9001.
- Drive lean improvements to cut waste and boost output in a high‑pressure environment.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to crush manufacturing issues on the spot.
- Education:
Bachelor’s in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering. - Experience:
5+ years in metal forging; ISO 9001 experience; proven project leadership under fire. - Technical
Skills:
Mastery of Solid Works/AutoCAD; process design; fixture/tool expertise. - Leadership/Work Style:
Hands‑on, “in the trenches” grit; thrives under tight deadlines. - Soft Skills:
Sharp problem‑solver; team player; precision‑driven. - Physical Requirements:
Ready to stand, lift (up to 50 lbs), and fight on the shop floor.
- Deep forging process knowledge.
- ERP/MRP system experience.
- Automation/robotics exposure.
You’ll be on the front lines in a manufacturing facility—think noise, machinery, and occasional travel for supplier missions.
