Production Associates in an Optical Lab help create eyeglasses to improve lives by improving sight. Responsibilities involve working as a team to help create beautiful prescription eyewear in a production environment which may include operating machines to prepare the lenses, shape, clean, insert into matching frames, and inspect the final product for shipping a beautiful pair of eyeglasses to our valuable accounts.

You will focus on one of the following areas, and we plan to cross‑train in the future so that you may work in any area.

• A Clipper: clipping and securing lenses into baskets to begin the coating process.
• A Machine Operator: preparing and operating the coating machine to coat the lenses properly, including loading chemicals and loading/unloading sectors with lenses.
• An Inspector: inspecting lenses to ensure they are optically and cosmetically accurate.

• A Beveler: utilizing the bevel wheel to remove the sharp edges of the lens.
• A Mounter: inserting edged lenses to ensure proper fit and alignment and inserting lenses into the frame.
• An Edger Operator: using a variety of edging machines to cut lenses to the proper size and shape for the appropriate frame.
• A Finish Layout Preparer: preparing uncut lenses for the edging process by outlining the center/alignment markings and affixing the chuck/block.
• A Tinter: accurately tinting all lenses.
• An Inspector: checking lenses and frames to ensure quality standards are met.

• A Surfacing Blocker: operating the blocking machine to secure a block to all lenses going through the surfacing department and applying protective tape.
• A Surface Finer/Polisher: operating the equipment to fine and polish all lenses going through the surfacing department.
• A Lens Washer: hand washing and drying lenses followed by a brief cosmetic inspection and removing block and tape.

• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent job experience.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Ability to meet measurable standards in a dynamic production environment (depth perception, fine motor skills, manual dexterity).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Capability to walk/stand all shift and perform repetitive movements with upper and lower extremities.
• Regularly lift up to 10 pounds.

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. You may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, complementary to a first‑class total rewards package.
