Our Bindery Operator is primarily responsible for operating various machines and equipment to finish products that have been printed so they can be delivered. We’re looking for a highly collaborative and dependable teammate driven by the opportunity to contribute to the success of a local business. • Read work orders to determine setup specifications and instructions.
• Set-up automatic cutting programs manually into cutter machine.
• Examine folded, stitched, collated, bound, and unbound product samples for defects.
• Set up and operate machines that perform operations such as cutting, folding, scoring/creasing, padding, drilling, hand punch for coil binding, laminating, perfect binding, saddle stitching, booklet making, etc.
• Observe and monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions and to determine whether adjustments are needed.
• Install and adjust bindery machine devices, such as knives, guides, rollers, etc., to accommodate sheets, signatures, or books of specified sizes.
• Maintain records of daily production, using computer and specified forms.
• Lubricate and clean machine parts and make minor repairs to keep machines in working condition.
• Perform other related duties as required.

• 2–5 years of experience setting up and operating bindery and finishing equipment in medium to large print shops with high job count and tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Good mathematical skills.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and attention to workstations.
