Production Operator (Line
4)
Location: Dallas, TX – Niagara Plant DALLAS 2
Seniority Level: Entry level
Employment Type: Part time
Job Function: Manufacturing – Food and Beverage Services
Overview: We are looking for a Production Operator to support day‑to‑day operations on Line 4. The role requires a knowledge of the production process, ability to maintain and troubleshoot equipment, and a focus on safety and quality.
Essential Functions- Maintain the production line, including starting and stopping equipment (palletizers, carton makers, drop packers, injection, etc.).
- Perform minor adjustments to production equipment as directed; no mechanical work without prior approval.
- Accurately complete and update logs:
Machine Report, Quality Report, Downtime Report, Carton Top Load Report. - Recognize unsafe conditions, follow plant safety rules, and use PPE when required.
- Maintain general housekeeping in all production areas, including break rooms and rest rooms.
- Monitor raw material supplies (pallet glue, slip sheets, labels, cartons, etc.) to ensure continuous operation.
- Fill hourly inspection sheets and report quality defects immediately.
- Work in multiple production areas with minimal supervision and perform relief duties as needed.
- Troubleshoot minor production equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance.
- Use computer systems such as Oracle/MES or the current order‑management system.
- Understand line flow and manufacturing processes to maximize throughput.
- Communicate issues clearly and concisely.
- Maintain regular, predictable attendance.
- Work 12‑hour shifts, day or night, on a rotating 2‑2‑3 schedule.
- Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 2 years in a similar position.
- No prior experience managing people/projects required.
- Experience operating multiple manufacturing machines.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 4 years in a similar position.
- 2 years of experience managing people/projects.
