Job Description & How to Apply Below
Kenney Industries has been building parts for demanding customers since 1968. We're an ISO 9001-certified contract manufacturer with about 45 people doing CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and assembly. We're looking for an experienced press brake operator who can set up and run jobs on their own.
What you'll do- Read engineering prints, including bend callouts, flat patterns, and GD&T
- Set up press brakes: choose and install tooling, align dies, set backgauges, and enter or edit programs and offsets
- Form steel, stainless, and aluminum parts across a range of thicknesses
- Run first-article and in-process inspections with calipers, protractors, and radius gauges
- Adjust for spring back and material variation to hold tolerance
- Work with the cutting, welding, and quality teams to keep jobs moving
- Keep your area clean, organized, and safe
- [3+] years of hands-on press brake setup, not just running parts someone else set up
- CNC press brake experience ([brand] a plus)
- Ability to work out bend sequences and spot when a part can't be formed as drawn
- Solid shop math and measuring skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for a full shift
- Job shop experience with high-mix, low-volume work
- Offline bend programming
- $[24–30]/hr depending on experience
- [Shift / schedule] 6am-3pm M-Th, 6am-11am Fri
- [Health, dental, vision]
- [401(k) / match]
- [Paid holidays and PTO]
- Steady work with a company that's been around for over 55 years
