PR/MARKETING SPECIALIST

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1‑5 years experience in public relations, journalism, project coordination, or a related field

Job Duties
  • Writing for print and digital external communications, such as consumer‑facing magazines, blogs, patient videos and testimonials, and social media
  • Shooting and editing video and still photos for digital platforms, earned media, or publications
  • Writing and editing press releases and handling media pitches
  • Various administrative duties, such as processing vendor invoices, ordering department supplies, and scheduling meetings, among other organizational tasks
  • Assisting at community events and media events
  • Other duties as assigned
Related Skills
  • Ability to professionally and effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, to physicians, executives and laypeople – with attention to storytelling, detail, and accuracy.
  • SEO‑ and computer‑literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and possess skills in videography and photography.
  • Demonstrates strategic thinking, creative problem‑solving, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to work in a stressful environment and meet deadlines.
  • Maintains confidentiality of information about patients and hospital strategic plans.
  • Demonstrates initiative, with the ability to work well in groups and independently.
