Position: Holistic Service Coordinator (Volunteer Coordinator)

Overview

Holistic Service Coordinator (Volunteer Coordinator) at Unified Care Hospice. The role leads the volunteer program and coordinates holistic services to support patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Recruit and inspire volunteers by connecting with local community groups, businesses, and organizations; promote Unified Care Hospice’s mission through in-person outreach, events, and presentations.
  • Provide training rooted in holistic care by organizing and leading volunteer training sessions and offering ongoing support to keep volunteers engaged.
  • Coordinate meaningful volunteer assignments by matching volunteers with patients and families based on skills, interests, and availability; work with the care team to integrate holistic therapies into patient support plans.
  • Celebrate and recognize volunteers by building relationships, fostering community, and organizing recognition events.
  • Ensure compliance and maintain records by tracking volunteer hours and activities to meet federal hospice guidelines and maintaining records of contributions, cost savings, and program impact.
What We’re Looking For
  • A compassionate individual with a passion for holistic care and volunteer leadership.
  • Experience in volunteer coordination, community outreach, or related field (hospice or holistic therapy experience a plus).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to inspire and guide volunteers and build community connections.
  • Willingness to drive for volunteer outreach and recruitment; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
  • Knowledge of hospice care, volunteer management, or holistic therapies is highly desirable.
