At FIFA World Cup 2026, volunteers are at the heart of the event. The Volunteer Program provides an opportunity to unite with individuals and communities across North America and helps achieve tournament objectives while building social connections and civic pride. The Volunteer Coordinator for Dallas will help support volunteer efforts for the FIFA World Cup 2026TM, hosting 48 teams and 1,200+ players across 3 countries and 16 cities.
FIFA is seeking a reliable, proactive, and service-oriented Host City Coordinator to support the day-to-day delivery of the Volunteer Program. This role ensures smooth and professional operation of the volunteer center and a memorable experience for candidates and volunteers, focusing on customer service, operational excellence, and database management, aligned with the needs and planning of each city. The position contributes to an integrated program across host cities with local recruitment objectives.
Responsibilities
- Logistics & Operational Support:
Work with the Host City Volunteer Manager to ensure readiness of the Volunteer Center, including setup, coordination, and operations through recruitment. Assist with back-of-house upkeep, office and break spaces, volunteer platform maintenance. Coordinate with security, IT, and facilities to ensure a safe, functional venue. - Recruitment Operations:
Manage the Volunteer Center operations, welcome desk, and first impressions for volunteers. Provide way finding assistance and respond to inquiries professionally. - Facilities & Hospitality:
Monitor/restock food and beverage areas; maintain a clean, welcoming environment. Report and resolve process, facility, tech or equipment issues promptly. - Volunteer
Experience:
Maintain welcoming spaces, act as on-site ambassador, and enhance the volunteer journey to meet FIFA standards of experience.

Education & Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- Experience in venue operations, hospitality, event management, or customer service preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with diverse groups.
- Ability to stand for long hours in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.
- Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and peak periods.
- Must be able to lift/move light equipment or supplies as needed.
- Positive, can-do attitude and passion for large-scale events and community programs.
- Ability to build productive relationships with stakeholders and volunteers; meet deadlines; problem solver.
- Strong written and spoken communication; team player; works well under pressure.
- Flexible, adaptable to changing priorities; able to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and planning/software tools
- Database management tools
- Fixed-term role with potential extension through July 2026, based on performance; includes phases of selection, training, scheduling, and tournament operations at stadium and city locations
