Join World Relief, a global Christian humanitarian organization, to lead volunteer and donation engagement in our Dallas office. This limited‑term position focuses on building a vibrant community engagement structure that positively impacts clients, World Relief, the church, and the community.
Base Pay Range$22.00/hr – $22.00/hr

Position SummaryAs Volunteer & Donations Coordinator, you will oversee volunteer recruitment, onboarding, training, placement, engagement, and retention, while simultaneously transforming generative donations into life‑changing resources for families beginning anew. Your work will involve managing intake, distribution, and reporting of essential items, ensuring that each donation reaches those in need quickly and efficiently.
Role & Responsibilities- Volunteer Coordination (30 hours per week)
- Program, Training, Support, and Recognition:
- Recruit and onboard volunteers, collaborating with Church & Community Engagement staff to develop recruitment strategies.
- Develop, promote, and maintain a wide range of volunteer opportunities throughout the office.
- Maintain a consistent, efficient, and thorough application and screening process that complies with National Performance Standards.
- Respond to volunteer inquiries professionally and promptly.
- Coordinate orientation and training for all incoming volunteers, scheduling and facilitating volunteer orientations and training sessions.
- Develop refresher and leadership development training sessions for existing volunteers.
- Track database and manage volunteer assignments; monitor progress and address performance deficits timely.
- Guide, identify, and support volunteer staffing needs in coordination with all departments.
- Coordinate volunteer communications and collaborate with CCE Lead & the Marketing Coordinator on newsletters.
- Create meaningful gatherings for volunteer encouragement and recognition throughout the year.
- Maximize use of World Relief’s e‑learning platform “The Workshop” to develop learning pathways for churches and volunteers.
- Manage Volunteer Program metrics by developing and maintaining program evaluation methods.
- Provide coaching and accountability to employees who interact with community partners and volunteers.
- Donations Coordination (10 hours per week)
- Schedule and assist with donation pick‑ups and drop‑offs; coordinate with volunteers and staff.
- Conduct inventory of donation closets and track items needed.
- Input received donations into Dynamics and discover new opportunities to receive donated items.
- Oversee automobile donations and complete required paperwork and DMV requirements.
- Collaborate with various departments to fulfill grant requirements for GIK.
- Provide reports regarding donations to supervisor.

- Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
- Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Relief’s Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity, and the National Association of Evangelicals’ For the Health of The Nation document
- Current driver’s license and access to reliable transportation required
- Flexibility in schedule required (meetings with volunteers and donors may fall outside normal business hours)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- Up to 25% domestic travel only required
- Strong written and verbal communication (English)
- Experience working with individuals and churches and comfortable with public presentations
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems efficiently and calmly
- Experience coordinating logistics and multi‑tasking with limited supervision
- Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, and communication skills; demonstrated ability to establish positive working relationships at all levels of the organization
