Position Mission
Project Finding Calcutta exists to help individuals encounter Christ in the poor—right where they are—through prayer, service, and community. Rooted in the spirituality of Mother Teresa and the Missionaries of Charity, our full-time missionary program forms young adults to lead lives of radical discipleship and love in service to “the poorest of the poor.”
Position Responsibilities- Daily Mission & Service:
Serve the “poorest of the poor” of Dallas, including the homeless, elderly, sick, and lonely, engaging regularly with the Missionaries of Charity sisters in hands-on corporal works of mercy. - Volunteer Leadership:
Mentor and guide volunteers at weekly Service Saturdays at rotating church sites across DFW. - Program Planning & Execution:
Support and execute key PFC events and initiatives such as annual Mother Theresa feast day celebration, PFC Summer Camp, College Alternate Spring Break Trips, and Mission Trips to Calcutta, India. - Spiritual Formation & Community Life:
Participate in ongoing formation in Catholic Social Teaching, missionary spirituality, and discernment. Engage in daily prayer, regular Mass, and communal living with other missionaries.
- Young adults (18+) looking for a full-time year (or more) of service and formation.
- Those discerning next steps in life or a vocation (including religious life, missionary life, or Catholic ministry).
- People taking a gap year from university or those not attending college who want to serve with purpose.
- Anyone drawn to living simply, serving radically, and growing deeply in faith and community.
- Housing and meals provided through shared missionary housing.
- Community life with other missionaries rooted in prayer, service, and the charism of Mother Teresa.
- Spiritual direction and mentorship from experienced leaders in faith and service.
- World-class training in Catholic social teaching, leadership, fundraising, and missionary spirituality.
Housing, meals, and a monthly stipend will be provided. We will also help you fundraise for an additional stipend and mission trip to Calcutta!
