Primary Care Nurse Practitioner
Provide exceptional care across all life spans and families in a thriving primary care setting. Assess, diagnose, treat, and educate patients while collaborating closely with a team of dedicated professionals to ensure comprehensive care and best outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat human diseases, injuries, and deformities, including symptom management, drug interactions, and preventive health‑care measures.
- Apply practices and procedures for diagnosing, treating, and rehabilitating physical and mental dysfunctions.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
- Utilize critical thinking and complex problem‑solving skills.
- Employ computer software applications for patient documentation and planning.
- Develop and implement comprehensive, outcomes‑based patient treatment plans.
- Counsel patients on medical and psychological conditions, treatment plans, and behavior modification.
- Interpret and evaluate laboratory and other diagnostic tests.
- Maintain required licensure and certifications in Texas.
- Obtain Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
- Hold a national Nurse Practitioner certification in the specialty area.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Certified Primary Care or Family Nurse Practitioner.
- Current Texas Nurse Practitioner license (or ability to obtain one).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- Proficiency in clinical skills and patient education.
- Team‑oriented, compassionate approach to primary care.
