Join the Nurse Manager of Pediatric Surgery role at Medical City Healthcare Dallas.

Job Summary

As a Nurse Manager of Pediatric Surgery, you will oversee Pediatric Cardiac Noninvasive Vascular Lab, Pediatric Cath Lab, and Pediatric CT Surgery staff. You will provide leadership, clinical expertise, and functional direction to achieve optimal perioperative patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Create department‑specific initiatives and process improvement.
  • Integrate collaborative practice and working relationships with all members of the healthcare team.
  • Accept responsibility for management of multiple levels of personnel, payroll, budget, capital, business plan, physician relationships, and recruitment endeavors.
  • Serve as liaison for hospital, community, and other institutions.
  • Organize and supervise human and material resources.
  • Evaluate quality of perioperative practices in relation to established professional and legal standards.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to facilitate the delivery of patient care.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Nursing degree required;
    Master’s in nursing or related degree preferred.
  • Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license.
  • AHA or ARC BLS provider required.
  • CNOR required within one year of hire; nurse leader certification preferred.
  • Ten years of operating room experience with five years of perioperative nursing management experience.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of financial implications of materials, equipment, and human resources.
