• Designated first‑line supervisory authority responsible for 24/7 operation of assigned units and provides coverage for other NMs as needed.
• Responsible and accountable for direction and supervision of orientation, training, development of staff, and evaluation of individual staff performance.
• Functions as a role model, educator, practitioner, and supervisor providing leadership to the team.
• Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team to remove barriers and implement evidence‑based cutting‑edge programs/processes.

• Five years recent Operating Room experience.
• Two years recent Operating Room hospital management experience.
• BSN or MSN.
• Current ACLS.
• Preferred:
  Five years recent Operating Room experience;
  Two years recent Operating Room hospital management experience; BSN or MSN;
  Current ACLS.

• U.S. Citizenship; non‑citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
