Manager of Critical Care (CVICU RN)

Location:

Dallas, TX | Pay range: $85,000–$127,000 per year

Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a leader to oversee daily operations of the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), supporting patient-centered care and high clinical standards. The Manager will co‑lead the department alongside another manager, guiding a team of 40 FTEs within a 28‑bed CVICU and ECMO team.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate nursing care delivery in the CVICU, ensuring compliance with hospital standards and evidence‑based practices.
  • Lead staff development, scheduling, and evaluation to maintain a high‑performing and engaged team.
  • Collaborate with physicians, ECMO specialists, and interdisciplinary leaders to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Develop and recommend policies, programs, and initiatives to improve the quality and efficiency of care.
  • Maintain effective communication channels with staff, administration, and medical teams.
  • Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and department expansion efforts.
  • Promote professional growth, mentorship, and continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 4 years of recent acute care CVICU/ICU leadership experience.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or Compact State.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • CCRN and/or CNRN preferred.
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required; advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven ability to lead complex critical‑care operations.
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and leadership skills.
  • Strong clinical knowledge in cardiovascular and intensive‑care nursing.
  • Ability to mentor staff and drive team engagement.
