Med Surg RN Needed for March - Bill Rate $100.00

36 bed adult surgical unit that cares primarily for trauma patients and acute care surgical patients. This unit does have 2 negative pressure rooms that can serve our COVID population. This is a very busy unit where rehabilitating and supporting our patients’ needs is our highest priority. The most common diagnosis on the unit;
Traumas including : spinal cord injuries(new quadriplegics and paraplegics), traumatic brain injuries, orthopedic injuries occurring as a result of a trauma. Acute Care Surgical diagnosis : hernia repair, small bowel obstructions, appendectomy, cholecystectomy. Travelers need to have experience on a fast pace medical surgical unit preferably with Level I Trauma center experience but several years at a Level II Trauma center is acceptable.

LNA ratios to patients 1 : 12

RN Patient ratios: days 1 : 4 nights 1 : 5

Must have a minimum of 1.5 years of recent equivalent experience

• Chest tubes
• Tubes
• Drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone
• Lines / Tubes / drains for post-surgical patients
• Trachs / Laryngectomies
• Telemetry
• Complex wounds
• Central Lines - care and maintenance and blood draws

• NH RN License or Compact License (Proof of State Residency Required)
• BLS
