Overview
We are seeking an Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (ICU RN), also referred to as an ICU RN, Intensive Care Nurse, or Intensive Care Unit RN. The ICU RN will be responsible for providing intensive care to patients with life‑threatening conditions. The RN will have advanced skills in critical care, make quick decisions, and demonstrate compassion for all patients. Duties include monitoring vital signs, blood oxygen levels, administering IV fluids, and communicating effectively with the medical team to modify care plans accordingly.

Bonus Options: up to $10,000, paid out as a stipend.

Hours:
12‑hour shifts – 7:00 pm to 7:00 am.

Dallas Medical Center.

- Deliver high‑quality care to critically ill patients by performing detailed assessments, developing care plans, and implementing complex nursing interventions.
- Use advanced equipment such as cardiac monitors, pulse oximeters, blood pressure monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, and capnography devices to continuously track vital signs and physiological parameters.
- Safely administer medications, intravenous fluids, and blood products with precise dosing and timing, closely monitoring patient responses to ensure effectiveness and prevent adverse reactions.
- Manage life‑support devices such as ventilators, dialysis machines, and cardiac monitors.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients’ families, acting as a liaison to ensure they understand the care being provided.
- Document all aspects of patient care to ensure continuity and compliance while rigorously maintaining infection control and safety protocols to protect vulnerable patients.
Deal‑breakers:
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter.
Required knowledge, skills & abilities:
- Basic arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter.
Preferred qualifications:
- Completion of Critical Care Course (preferred).
- Minimum of one year as a staff RN in an acute care hospital, with critical care preferred.
- Critical Care RN (CCRN) certification (preferred).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (preferred).
