Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
Parkland Health – New Parkland Hospital, Dallas, TX.
Location:
New Parkland Hospital.
Sign‑On Bonus: $25,000.
Primary PurposeAdministers anesthesia and related care from pre‑anesthetic assessment to post‑anesthetic follow‑up, formulating and executing anesthetic care plans in collaboration with attending anesthesiologists to facilitate quality patient care, comfort, and satisfaction during diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical procedures.
Education- Must be a graduate of a Nurse Anesthesia Program accredited by the Council of Nurse Anesthesia (COA) or its predecessor.
- Must have a current, valid RN license or temporary RN license from the Texas Board of Nursing or a valid Compact RN license.
- Must have a current license or temporary authorization (interim approval not to exceed 120 days from issuance) as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with authorization to practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the Texas Board of Nursing.
- Current Healthcare Provider CPR Certification from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Valid national certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the National Board of Certification & Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).

Skills & Special Abilities- Provides care to the assigned patient population in accordance with the State of Texas Nurse Practice Act, established protocols, multidisciplinary plan of care, and clinical area‑specific standards.
- Demonstrates sound decision‑making in anesthetic patient care, ethical norms, and respect for patient rights.
- Shows good organizational skills and effective written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrates patient‑centered/valued behaviors.
- Maintains and implements knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws and guidelines that govern nursing practice and ensures compliance.
- Develops effective internal controls that promote adherence to applicable state/federal laws and program requirements of accreditation agencies and health plans.
- Maintains and updates knowledge of sanitation, infection control, safety, supplies, equipment, and appropriate utilization of supplies and materials.
