Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Uptown is a state of the art surgical hospital located in the Dallas Uptown neighborhood. Recognized as a Joint Commission Center of Excellence for Total Hip/Total Knee replacement and spine surgery, our other specialties include: orthopedics/ortho oncology, sports medicine, general surgery/robotics/oncology, bariatric, breast oncology/reconstruction, cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery, pain management and ENT.

BSW-Uptown is seeking motivated, high-energy candidates for our February 2022 OR RN Internship Program. The program is geared toward new graduates with a strong interest in Perioperative nursing as well as experienced RN’s with the goal of becoming a perioperative RN.
The Internship is a paid, full-time, blended learning program utilizing the AORN Peri Op 101 Core Curriculum. The curriculum includes interactive online modules, textbook content, technique videos and study guides, plus hands‑on skills labs, group activities, and a clinical practicum. The program prepares the RN to develop and implement an individualized plan of care based on global assessment, surgical procedure, surgeon preferences and desired patient outcomes.

Required Skills- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Associates Degree in Nursing
- Current unrestricted RN licensure in the state of Texas OR a recent graduate who is NCLEX eligible and completes exam/Texas licensure prior to program start date
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- Ability to lift, push, pull and stand without difficulty
- The possibility of limited travel within city limits for program related activities
- Available to take weekday/weekend/holiday call upon successful completion of the program
