American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care (IMC) unit position requiring Epic proficiency and a 1:3 patient ratio background.

• Work in the Intermediate Care (IMC)/Stepdown unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:30
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Float required
• Every other weekend required
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of recent IMC/Stepdown experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Skilled in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilator care, chest tube management, and tracheostomy care
• Skilled in IV therapy, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, and PICC line management
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and telemetry monitoring
• Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips and IV insulin protocols
• Experience with renal/genitourinary care including hemodialysis management and continuous bladder irrigation
• State-issued  for consideration

• Provide intermediate/stepdown level nursing care including cardiac, respiratory, renal, and neurological patient management
• Scrubs not provided; navy blue scrubs required
• Candidates residing within 90 miles are considered local and may be eligible at a lower rate
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO requests limited to no more than 5 non-consecutive days, with only one holiday RTO request permitted during Nov-Jan
