American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a Transplant/BMT ICU role requiring strong critical care skills and a TX or compact RN license.

• Oncology/Transplant ICU setting with 10 beds and 4 staff members
• Patient ratio of 2:1 for critically ill patients
• Equipment used includes ventilators, CRRT, A-line, Bipap, and Flow-track monitoring
• Uses Meditech EMR
• 7A-7P shift schedule with rotating weekends
• Floating required to all ICUs, PCU, and BMT units
• 13-week assignment

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required, with NIH Stroke Certification also required for BMT ICU
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience required
• Strong ICU experience including titrating drips and managing ventilated patients required
• Experience with Bipap patients required
• CRRT experience and transplant experience (kidney, pancreas, liver) preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Provide total care for critically ill patients including turning, dressing changes, and trach care
• Report times are 0645/1845 with clock in/out required for lunch breaks
• Blue scrubs required as part of the dress code
• Compassionate team players with strong rapport with physicians are ideal fits
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
