UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our GI Medical Oncology Clinic at Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center. This full-time APP will provide outpatient care for patients with gastrointestinal cancers, including pancreatic, colorectal, liver, and esophageal cancers, while working collaboratively with physicians, APPs, nursing, and the multidisciplinary oncology team.

Primary responsibilities include follow-up care for established patients, toxicity assessments, clearance for infusion, management of treatment-related side effects, symptom management, and coordination of ongoing cancer care. The position is focused on ambulatory medical oncology, with approximately 40-minute follow-up visits and an anticipated patient volume of 10–12 patients per day. No procedures are currently required.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a collaborative, team-oriented approach to patient care and be comfortable practicing both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Veteran's encouraged to apply.

Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. No weekends or holidays.

Minimum of one (1) year of oncology experience as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) required; GI Oncology experience preferred.

Graduate of a master’s degree or higher Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician (ARC-PA) accredited Physician Assistant program. OR

Master’s degree or higher in nursing, documentation of completion of accredited Advanced Practice Education Program. Graduate education and related Texas Board of Nursing authorization must be consistent with clinical practice area and patient population.

Certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Certification required. Licensed by the Texas Physician Assistant Board. OR
