Associate Veterinarian – Lakewood Veterinary Center

East Dallas | Privately Owned | No Nights or Weekends

Lakewood Veterinary Center is an established, growing,
independently owned small animal practice in East Dallas. We’re excited to welcome a compassionate, motivated Associate Veterinarian to our exceptional team.

We recently moved into a beautiful, ultramodern 4,100-square-foot veterinary hospital in the heart of the Lower Greenville area—surrounded by great restaurants, shopping, and entertainment, and just minutes from White Rock Lake’s trails and green spaces. Our location supports what we genuinely believe in:
excellent medicine and a sustainable, balanced life outside of work
.

We’re proud to be a practice that is deeply loved by our community, known for outstanding online reviews, and built around a simple philosophy:
pets come first, and teams matter
. Our owner is kind, supportive, and actively invested in creating a positive, respectful environment where veterinarians can do their best work and continue to grow.

We’re closed nights, weekends, and all major holidays—so you can enjoy your career and your life.

What We Offer
  • Compensation range: $120,000–$160,000, based on experience and schedule
  • Quarterly bonus potential
  • Flexible scheduling – part-time or full-time options
  • No emergency, on-call, or after-hours duties, NO WEEKENDS!
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life and disability insurance
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • SIMPLE IRA with employer match
  • CE allowance and professional dues covered
  • Mentorship and collaborative case support
  • Discounted veterinary services
  • A modern, well-equipped hospital including:
    • Full in-house lab
    • Digital radiography
    • Therapeutic laser
    • And other advanced diagnostic tools

Our caseload is primarily dogs and cats, though veterinarians with an interest in seeing other species are welcome to do so. We value client education, thoughtful medicine, and building long-term relationships with both pets and their people.

  • DEA licensed or eligible
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • A commitment to high-quality medicine and ethical practice
