Recreation Leader PT (The Branch Connection)

OverviewPurpose:
provide outstanding customer service, maintain a clean and safe facility, promote services and programs, and supervise the facility. Multiple location assignments within the Parks & Recreation Department. Work location assigned at employment.
- Perform administrative and clerical duties: answer phones, print/copy documents, prepare reports and letters, maintain financial aid participant records, file, front desk reception, manage displays.
- Deliver excellent customer service: greet patrons, register for programs and classes, process memberships, ensure scanning, manage staff and equipment, provide tours, respond to requests and complaints, guide members on fitness equipment, promote facility programs, foster positive rapport.
- Support staff and programs: facilitate programs, create notices, distribute rosters and attendance sheets, prepare flyers, set up and operate equipment, check out and maintain equipment and games, operate A/V equipment, set up and take down tables and chairs for rentals and events, perform ballfield checks, support special events, provide emergency response services (CPR, First Aid, AED).
- Handle cash and accounting: prepare daily deposits, print transaction reports after every shift, perform daily opening and closing accounting procedures, balance cash drawers, print receipts, print daily accounting summary records, secure money, receive and process payment transactions.
- Maintain facility and perform janitorial duties: prepare work orders, clean tables, chairs, desks, benches, counters, pick up trash around facility, sanitize equipment, maintain restrooms and/or locker rooms, clean all fitness equipment daily, check condition of facilities and equipment, arrange and stock kiosks and bulletin boards, organize storage, prepare coffee and clean coffee area daily.
- Monitor facility and patrons: respond to incidents and emergencies, conduct facility checks, enforce facility policies and procedures, oversee room activities, open/close facility, perform other duties as assigned.
Experience with Active Net software Preferred.
Special Requirements- Mobility within a field environment.
- Must have a negative drug test.
- Work a flexible schedule including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, some holidays, and a rotating on-call schedule.
- Safety‑sensitive position subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- CPR, First Aid, AED certifications required.
Performed in clean surroundings, light physical effort, occasional lifting up to 50 lbs, walking, standing, reaching.
