Job Description
The Groundskeeper performs landscaping tasks using power equipment and hand tools to maintain the facility's grounds. They ensure that outdoor areas are safe, clean and attractive and plants and maintains gardens, lawns and other outdoor features.
Job Responsibilities:

• Plants grass, shrubs, trees and flowers. Applies mulch, fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides.
• Waters lawns, shrubs and gardens.
• Maintains lawns by mowing, trimming and edging and raking leaves.
• Maintains green spaces and flower beds by weeding, trimming and pruning. Removes unwanted weeds or unhealthy plants, shrubs and trees, as well as downed limbs.
• Installs and maintains water fountains, fences, gates, retaining walls, rock gardens, outdoor lighting and other design features.
• Digs trenches and levels ground.
• Keeps outdoor furniture clean and in good repair.
• Operates hand tools and power equipment including mowers, leaf-blowers, snowblowers, tillers, backhoes and tractors.
• Removes trash and other debris from outdoor areas.
• Operates snowblower or snow plow to clear roads, driveways, sidewalks and parking lots.

Education & Experience:

High School diploma plus one year of groundskeeping experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Pay Range: depending on experience

$14 hr - $17 hr
