The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that products meet quality standards and specifications. This role involves inspecting materials, components, and finished products; identifying defects; performing testing and data analysis; and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to uphold compliance with internal and external quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials and products.
  • Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
  • Record inspection data and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes.
  • Conduct quality audits and support compliance with ISO/AS/industry‑specific standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain and calibrate quality tools and inspection equipment.
  • Support product testing and sample evaluation as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to quality policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a quality assurance or inspection role (industry‑specific experience is a plus).
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with quality tools and concepts (e.g., 5S, SPC, FMEA, Six Sigma).
  • Basic understanding of ISO 9001 or other relevant quality systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management systems (QMS).
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods.
  • May need to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to help with quality repairs as needed.
  • Manual dexterity for handling small parts and measurement tools.
