The Real Estate Development Analyst will play a key role in planning, executing, and supporting new, ongoing and/or recently completed real estate projects. This will include underwriting, analyzing development feasibility, preparing offering memorandums, etc.

Job Functions
  • Provide analytical support for Harwood's multi-year financial modeling and strategic planning processes, with a focus on development and investment strategies.
  • Develop financial models to project revenue, costs and profitability of potential projects.
  • Analyze the financial feasibility of new investment opportunities for different development options (e.g., office, multi-family, hotel, retail) and investment strategies.
  • Prepare offering memorandums and reports for stakeholders, including ownership, lenders, and investors.
  • Identify and assess potential risks associated with projects, such as market / economic fluctuations, construction delays, and collaborate with the Head of Development to establish mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Assist with the marketing and pre‑leasing efforts of new developments.
  • Stay informed on market trends and industry developments to provide strategic insights that support project decision‑making.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 1‑4 years’ experience in real estate development, investment analysis, or construction finance.
  • Working knowledge of financial modeling, feasibility analysis, and preparing investment reports or offering memorandums.
  • Familiar with the real estate development process, from planning to execution.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required. Argus experience is a plus.
  • Experience working with cross‑functional teams (e.g., capital markets, development, finance, asset management, leasing, and marketing).
