The Children's Research Institute (CRI) has an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Fellow, with a PhD or MD/PhD, to join the research team of Dr. Hao Zhu, Investigator. Translational research in liver cancer and regeneration
Major projects involve metabolomic and metabolic flux profiling, cell surface proteomics, antibody-based therapeutic development, and translational applications in liver cancers.
Prior experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, and protein characterization techniques is preferred. Experience in metabolomics, mass spectrometry, stable isotope tracing, proteomics, or cancer biology is highly desirable. A strong first author publication record in peer-reviewed journals is also necessary.
The CRI is an innovative collaboration between Children’s Medical Center and UTSW Medical Center that joins the leading clinical resources of Children’s with the outstanding research resources of UTSW. In the context of this excellent scientific environment, the mission of the Zhu lab is to understand the genetic events that contribute to cancer and organ regeneration. We will aim to inhibit cancer and improve mammalian regenerative capacity by modulating pathways that shift the balance of regenerative and tumorigenic potential.
