Shift Leads provide leadership to the shop team, ensuring White Rhino baristas have all they need to provide an excellent customer experience. Shift Leads run the shift, providing direction and assistance, handling customer issues, and supervising all operations of the shop during the shift.

• Hold shift huddles before the shift begins
• Supervise all staff during the shift, providing resources and assistance, as needed
• Assist with implementing and enforcing shop procedures
• Resolve escalated customer issues and complaints
• Count cash in and out and handle cash drops
• Relay important information to the Shop Manager, as needed
• Count inventory as needed
• Maintain the organization of the shop inventory and assist with placing orders

• Minimum 18 years of age
• Ability to work a minimum of 4-5 shifts per week, including weekend availability, with reliable transportation
• Ability to attend every monthly staff meeting
• Ability to comply to punctuality and performance standards
• Strong leadership capability
• Excellent customer service and self-awareness

• Food Manager certification (completed within 30 days of hire or promotion)
• Previous barista experience

• $13.50-$19.50/hour including tips, based on experience
• Opportunity to participate in company benefits (health, dental, vision, etc.) if 30 hr average over a 6-month period
• Bonuses and raises are available, based on meeting performance goals
