Account Manager – Entry Level (Hardfacing & Welding Alloys)
OverviewThe Account Manager position is an entry-level sales role designed for a motivated individual with the drive to succeed in industrial sales. This role focuses on building relationships, managing day-to-day customer needs, and driving sales growth within assigned accounts. Technical expertise is provided by Postle’s Technical Sales Managers (TSMs), allowing the Account Manager to focus on customer relationships, follow-up, and execution.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary contact for assigned distributor and end-user accounts.
- Generate and follow up on quotes, purchase orders, and shipments.
- Prospect and develop new accounts through calls, email campaigns, and networking.
- Keep CRM updated with customer activity, contacts, and pipeline opportunities.
- Provide customers with basic product information and sales resources.
- Coordinate with TSMs for demos, technical training, and advanced support.
- Monitor competitor activity and report market insights.
- Participate in trade shows, distributor training, and promotional campaigns.
- Entry-level role; 1–3 years of sales, account management, or customer service (industrial sales or distribution experience a plus).
- Self-motivated, driven, and hungry to succeed in sales.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Willingness to learn technical product knowledge through coaching and training.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems preferred.
- Ability to travel 40%+ depending on territory.
- Preferred but not required: welding experience, mechanical background, or education through technical trade schools.
- Base salary: $50,000–$60,000 + commission, bonuses, and a clear career path.
