Maintains a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by monitoring and patrolling premises and personnel.

• Secure premises by monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
• Patrol assigned areas such as building lobby, floors, parking garage, loading dock, and perimeter.
• Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures, and restraining trespassers.
• Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interview witnesses; obtain signatures.
• Maintain building and equipment controls to keep the environment secure.
• Comply with legal requirements to maintain the organization’s stability and reputation.

Observational skills, ability to deal with uncertainty, judgment, objectivity, dependability, emotional control, integrity, safety management, and professionalism.

Must be able to stand/walk for long periods, climb multiple stairs, respond to emergencies promptly, and lift heavy objects.

Experience is preferred but not required for some positions.
