About Our Client

Our client is an employee-owned construction contractor that delivers underground utility, heavy civil, and infrastructure projects. Its people work on jobsites wherever the projects are. The company is built on strong core values and invests in its people, with competitive pay, an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP), and onsite amenities that include a fitness center, basketball and pickleball courts, and personal training.

Because the company is employee-owned, every team member shares directly in the value they help build, and long-term career growth is a real priority.

Job Description

Our client is looking for an experienced, NCCCO-certified Lift Director to plan and oversee crane, rigging, hoisting, and heavy lifting operations across its projects. In this role, you'll be the authority on lift safety and execution. You'll develop and approve standard and critical lift plans, review crane load charts and configurations, and evaluate site conditions such as ground stability, crane positioning, and access before any lift begins.

On a typical day, you'll run pre-lift and pre-task meetings, coordinate crane operators, riggers, signal persons, ironworkers, and Superintendents, and watch lifts in progress to make sure they follow the approved plan. You'll have the authority to stop or change operations when conditions become unsafe. You'll also support complex lifts, structural steel erection, and heavy material placement.

You’ll work closely with Project Management, Operations, Safety, and field leadership, and you’ll lead and mentor the crane and rigging crews. The ideal candidate is a safety‑first leader who is passionate about precise lift planning and keeps a crew running smoothly on demanding heavy civil and infrastructure jobs.
