Odessa, Texas | Full-time | $25.00–$36.00 per hour | 15 days on, 6 days off

Nexus Hires is recruiting on behalf of an established oilfield cementing company with operations across the major U.S. basins. The company has been in business for decades under experienced leadership, and is growing — this is a new opening, not a backfill.

This is not a lube bay. You will maintain and repair the equipment that keeps cementing operations running — pump units, blenders, bulk plant equipment and Class 8 trucks. Expect real diagnostic work across diesel, hydraulics, air and electrical, plus teardown and rebuild in the shop.

• Perform preventative maintenance on heavy equipment and fleet vehicles
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, air brakes, drivetrain and electrical
• Troubleshoot pumping and blending equipment
• Rebuild components — pumps, transmissions, hydraulic assemblies
• Complete DOT inspections and keep accurate maintenance records
• Support field callouts when a unit goes down on location
• Follow all safety procedures and keep a clean, organized shop

• Mechanic I — $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
• Mechanic II — $27.00 to $32.00 per hour
• Mechanic III — $30.00 to $36.00 per hour

Your level is set by experience and by what you show us in the interview. If you are not sure where you land, apply anyway — that is what the conversation is for.

• 2+ years of heavy diesel or heavy equipment maintenance experience (more for Level II and III)
• Your own hand tools
• Ability to troubleshoot to the component level and read schematics
• Valid driver’s license and a clean MVR. CDL Class A with tanker endorsement is a strong plus, or willingness to obtain one
• High school diploma or GED
• Able to lift up to 65 pounds regularly and work outdoors in all weather
• Able to pass a background check and drug screen

• Oilfield, pressure pumping, cementing or drilling equipment experience
• Experience with diagnostic software
• Welding or fabrication skills
• DOT inspection certification

• 15 days on, 6 days off. You will know your days off well in advance.
• Getting to and from your home district is your responsibility.
• $55 per day per diem when you are working away from your home district. This is not paid every day — it applies when you are at another location or away from your district.
