Job Overview

Metrocare Services is committed to serving individuals with developmental or mental health challenges by providing meaningful, satisfying lives. We are a gender‑responsive, trauma‑informed agency delivering services to individuals with serious mental illness, developmental disabilities, and co‑occurring disorders. We serve as liaison between CDDS, the business community, and other center personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop collaborative working relationships with center staff and other service providers.
  • Develop service plans and team activities to determine needs, interests, and desires of consumers.
  • Provide job‑coaching services, including observing, modeling, training and facilitating natural supports to promote consumer success.
  • Provide education/information to employers, supervisors, and co‑workers of consumers.
  • Complete a task analysis for each position prior to consumer employment.
  • Assist in monthly clinicals.
  • Complete all required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Conduct job development/placement services.
  • Perform other duties assigned.
Competencies
  • Conduct job responsibilities in accordance with ethical standards of conduct, state contract, professional standards and applicable state/federal laws.
  • Analytical skills, professional acumen, business ethics, continuous improvement, problem solving, confidentiality, and excellent communication.
  • Self‑motivating, able to work independently.
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations and policies regarding service delivery to individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse individuals, teams and systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Office 95/97 and Askesis.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in Human Services or related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience providing services to individuals with disabilities.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and/or American Sign Language is a plus.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Ability to apply common sense, follow simple instructions, and handle standardized situations.
  • Proficient with computer, printer, and software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint);
    Internet use.
  • Current Texas driver license or equivalent from another state; must obtain Texas license within 3 months if out of state.
  • Liability insurance acceptable for vehicle use on or for center business.
