Profile Developer

Overview

A Profile Developer within our Retail Bank Technology requires the design, coding, and testing of software projects, with a special focus on the underlying architecture of systems and integration between them. Duties include development in one or more of the following technologies:
Mumps, Profile Scripting Language (PSL), SQL.

$70.00/hr - $80.00/hr

• Must have experience w/ Capital One or FIS (Fidelity Information Services)
• Working on bank modernization and Discover integration
• Profile Core experience
• PSL & Mumps

• Work with the Development Team Leader and business owners to refine and clarify project requirements.
• Work with the Development Team Leader to help manage tasks and stories.
• Provide team leadership and proactively seek out areas for improvement.
• Produce detailed design specifications from project requirements.
• Design, Develop & test Projects using existing design standards and within accepted defect rate based on specification documents.
• Help gather and provide input to assist in overall team process improvement and product design stability.
• Properly track issues and resolutions in relation to the development effort using JIRA.
• Ensure that all code retains logical stability, reliability, confidentiality, and integrity of Capital One systems in accordance with Capital One policies, procedures and guidelines.

• Professional experience developing on Profile application (MUMPS and PSL). At least 5 years of professional experience developing banking software such as financial products and financial reporting features
• Working in an Agile Environment
• Professional experience with multi-tier system design and implementation. Scripting language experience (Shell Scripts, Awk). Knowledge of cloud engineering topics.
• Good working knowledge of banking concepts
