Backend Java/AWS Engineer - 2 weeks in office every month (Dallas, TX)

Full-time | Hybrid

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Java and Spring frameworks
• Build and scale services on AWS, leveraging EKS and serverless technologies
• Develop CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for seamless deployment and integration
• Work with event‑driven architectures using Kafka or similar messaging technologies
• Design and optimize databases with Dynamo
  
  DB and Cockroach
  
  DB (both relational and non‑relational)
• Implement and support FIX protocol integrations for financial systems
• Collaborate in Agile sprints, participate in code reviews, and document technical solutions

• 3+ years of professional experience in backend development with Java and Spring
• Strong experience with AWS infrastructure (EKS, Lambda, and related services)
• Hands‑on expertise in CI/CD automation with Jenkins
• Proficiency in event‑driven systems (Kafka or comparable technologies)
• Database experience with Dynamo
  
  DB and Cockroach
  
  DB (or similar)
• Understanding of FIX protocol for financial integrations
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills

Bonus: AWS certifications, experience with microservices architecture, familiarity with financial systems or trading platforms
