Senior Professional Application Designer

HJ Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Senior Professional Application Designer to support the design, development, testing, and documentation of complex software applications. This individual will contribute to technical architecture components, lead development efforts, and provide expert consulting on advanced projects. • Design, develop, test, and implement server, client, and web-based applications

• Maintain system readiness to meet client service level agreements (SLA)

• Identify and resolve production issues; support uptime and performance

• Upgrade and maintain systems per business and security requirements

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and document solutions

• Develop and review code, specifications, and technical documentation

• Provide high-level design support to ensure accurate translation of business needs

• Guide junior developers, participate in code walkthroughs, and offer mentorship

• Perform detailed unit testing and contribute to overall test planning

• Evaluate tools and methodologies to enhance product quality and efficiency

• Participate in technical strategy development and project feasibility analysis

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication abilities for cross-team collaboration

• Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Experience working independently and as part of a remote team

• Leadership skills to mentor and guide less-experienced team members

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

• 6+ years of application design and development experience

• Solid understanding of software development life cycle and methodologies

• Proficient in:

  • .NET, .NET Core, ASP.NET Web Forms, C#

  • REST API, MVC, WCF, IIS

  • Oracle and SQL Server

  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery

  • SSRS, Windows, and Linux

• Preferred experience with:

  • InRule, Appian, Redis

  • Medicaid systems
