Title : Senior AWS / Java Developer Airline Operations (Load Planning / Aerodata / Crew Pay)

Location : Dallas, TX

Terms : Long Term Contract

Job Details :

We are looking for AWS / Java developers with strong airline domain experience , specifically in Load Planning, Takeoff Performance (Aerodata), and Crew Pay .

The developer will design, build, and maintain scalable services and integrations supporting core airline operational platforms.

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices and APIs on AWS
• Implement and enhance features in Aircraft Load Planning & Weight and Balance
• Implement and enhance features in Takeoff Performance / Aerodata integration and calculations
• Implement and enhance features in Crew Pay calculation engines and rules processing
• Build robust RESTful APIs, data processing pipelines, and integrations with third-party systems (e.g., Aerodata providers, crew management tools)
• Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and performant using AWS services (e.g., EC2, ECS / EKS, Lambda, SQS, RDS, Dynamo
  
  DB, API Gateway, etc.)
• Collaborate closely with BAs, QA, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and refine technical solutions
• Participate in code reviews, CI / CD pipelines , and production support as needed

• 10+ years hands‑on experience in Java (Java 8+), Spring Boot, REST APIs
• Strong experience with AWS (at least a few of : Lambda, ECS / EKS, S3, SQS, RDS, Dynamo
  
  DB, Cloud Watch, API Gateway)
• Prior experience working on airline operational systems , especially :
• Load Planning / Weight & Balance
• Takeoff Performance / Aerodata
• Crew Pay / crew management
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture , integration patterns, and secure API design
• Experience with CI / CD tools (Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Git Hub Actions, etc.)

• Exposure to event‑driven architectures (Kafka, Kinesis, etc.)
• Experience with performance optimization and large‑scale transactional systems
• Knowledge of containerization tools ( Docker, Kubernetes )
