UI Engineer — Platform

Winixx Inc. is a New York-based technology holding company operating a portfolio of over 35 SaaS platforms across freight, fleet management, financial infrastructure, and market intelligence. We are now building WinixxOS — a distinctive, AOSP-based operating system powering a full lineup of consumer hardware including phones, tablets, smartwatches, POS devices, and gaming consoles. This is early-stage, high-ownership platform engineering — you would be shaping foundational decisions for a new OS, not implementing someone else's spec.

The Platform UI Engineer builds and maintains components of the WinixxOS system UI layer, working alongside senior engineers to implement the custom widget toolkit and navigation model across our device lineup.

• Implement system UI components across the custom WinixxOS widget toolkit
• Support window management, navigation, and gesture-handling implementation
• Help ensure UI consistency across phone, tablet, POS, console, and wearable form factors
• Conduct UI testing across device classes and screen configurations
• Work with the Winixx Studio team to support the visual layout designer's rendering engine
• Fix UI-layer bugs and performance issues identified during internal testing
• Contribute to internal documentation of the platform UI architecture

• 3+ years of UI or framework engineering experience, ideally with Android/AOSP exposure
• Familiarity with custom view/widget systems beyond standard Android UI components
• Understanding of layout, rendering, and compositing fundamentals
• Strong attention to visual and interaction detail
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

The compensation range reflected in this posting represents the minimum and maximum target range for this position. Individual pay within the posted range is determined by a candidate's demonstrated experience, educational background, skill set, and geographic location. Final compensation is established at the time of offer and may fall anywhere within the stated range based on these factors.
