OMRE Virtual World is an ambitious project to build a persistent, shared digital civilization where millions of people can live, communicate, work, own properties, operate businesses, explore cities, and participate in a functioning virtual society.
Unlike traditional games, OMRE Virtual World will be a continuously evolving environment with real-time multiplayer interactions, persistent identities, a virtual economy, transportation, realistic cities, dynamic weather, and AI-powered systems.
Our vision is to create an accessible virtual world that operates across web browsers, mobile devices, and desktop computers.
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Game Developer / Lead Game Engineer who can help architect, develop, optimize, and scale this next-generation virtual world.
Key Responsibilities 1. Game Engine & Core Architecture- Lead development using Godot 4.
- Design modular game architecture for a persistent virtual world.
- Develop reusable systems for world management, rendering, physics, movement, interactions, and animation.
- Build cross-platform systems supporting browsers, Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Evaluate and integrate appropriate open-source technologies.
- Create scalable foundations for future 3D expansion.
- Develop large, interconnected virtual cities and environments.
- Implement terrain systems, buildings, interiors, roads, vegetation, and interactive objects.
- Build procedural generation tools and automated environment pipelines.
- Implement streaming, chunk loading, level of detail, and asset management.
- Develop day/night cycles, weather effects, and environmental animations.
- Optimize worlds for low-end devices and browsers.
- Implement real-time multiplayer systems.
- Design client-side multiplayer synchronization.
