Our client, a Japanese Freight Forwarding company, is looking for a Customs Brokerage Agent to join their team.
Position Details:- Title: Customs Brokerage Agent
- Industry: Logistics
- Type: Full Time, Direct Hire
- Location: Dallas, TX
- Salary: $52,000 - $65,000
- At least 1-2 years of US customs brokerage or Entry Writer experience
- Knowledge of US Customs Tariff, Fish & Wildlife Service, FDA, and USDA filing requirements
- Experience with air/ocean import freight release
- Basic computer skills
- Bilingual in Japanese is a big plus
- Preparing and submitting necessary documentation for customs clearance, including import/export declarations, invoices, and other required forms
- Calculating and ensuring proper payment of customs duties, taxes, and fees for clients
- Communicating with carriers and customers via telephone and email
- Filing documents in a timely manner
- Tracking shipments and providing updates to customers
- Coordinating delivery scheduling and ensuring carrier compliance
