Responsibilities
  • Proper and safe operation of shuttle buses, transporting passengers, and providing field operational support.
  • Perform vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness of bus interiors, fuel buses, log trip counts, and assist disabled passengers.
  • Consistently be on time and in uniform on scheduled days.
  • Carry a valid state‑issued driver’s license at all times while on duty.
  • Maintain an acceptable DMV record.
  • Assist customers courteously, answering questions or directing them to the Facility Manager as needed.
  • Report any known accidents, violations of company policy, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
  • Communicate debris, water, oil spills, etc., to the garage office.
  • Have thorough knowledge of all garage areas, major streets, landmarks, and freeways nearby.
  • Assist customers with luggage and other traveling items when operating shuttle buses at an airport location.
  • Support the Facility Manager with additional duties as needed.
  • Direct and maintain shuttle route operation via two‑way radio and in person.
  • Assist drivers with wheelchair assistance, pre‑ and post‑trips, and other needs.
  • Guide airport guests with directions, airport information, and complaints.
  • Ensure shuttle drivers perform job duties safely and professionally.
  • Be able to drive a shuttle when needed.
  • Multitask and work flexible hours.
  • Report to Dispatch / Shift Supervisor.
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education/Experience

Required:

Less than high school education or one month of related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

License Requirement: Maintain a valid state driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record.

DOT Medical Card: A Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required.

Availability to Work: Shift requirements may vary; availability to work third shift and/or weekends may be required.

Language

Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; to write simple correspondence; and to present information in one‑on‑one situations to customers and other employees.

Mathematical

Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide two‑digit numbers and perform operations with U.S. currency.

Appearance: Employees must maintain a neat and clean appearance and wear complete uniform at all times.

Physical Demands: Regular standing, walking, hand use to handle cash and equipment; occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, and lifting/moving up to 75 pounds.

Salary Range

$19.00 per hour
