Job SummaryThe Receiving Associate manages incoming shipments, verifies contents against purchase orders, maintains receiving records, and operates warehouse equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Unpack shipments, verify contents, and process shipping documentation.
- Operate material handling equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists using SAP.
- Record and track inventory accurately, report discrepancies or damages to internal teams.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and report safety hazards.
- Collaborate with Dock Supervisor and team members to meet operational deadlines.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years experience in shipping and receiving
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50lbs
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong knowledge of logistics documentation and ERP systems
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols for shipping and receiving operations
- Must successfully pass a full background check
- Knowledge of freight handling and shipping best practices
- Experience with inventory tracking systems
- Certification in forklift operation or relevant equipment
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Typical noise level of warehouse operations.
- Flexibility to support other locations or shifts as needed.
- Strict adherence to SOP.
