Job Summary Details

The Shuttle Driver drives passengers to and from assigned locations. Depending on the contractual need this could be around or near an airport, commercial building, hospital, sports arena, entertainment venue, educational facility or warehouse.

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• No experience required and on the job training provided
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required
• This role may require a CDL with a specific class and endorsement requirement

• One (1) year of prior work experience as passenger shuttle driver is preferred

• Transport, load and unload passengers, providing daily transportation services at designated pick‑up and drop‑off locations
• Ensure the safe loading and unloading of passengers, including the safe operation and handling of specialized equipment for unloading passengers with special needs (i.e. wheelchair lifts and tie‑downs)
• Help passengers load and unload luggage as needed
• Inspect vehicles regularly to identify unsafe conditions or maintenance issues; perform routine cleaning and bus maintenance activities
• Assist patrons needing help to and from various airport locations and lots
• Inspect shuttle for pre‑existing damage record information using an electronic device or manual ticketing
• Provide excellent customer service; respond to guest inquiries courteously and give directions to the nearest highway, destination, etc.
• Maintain and enforce the bus evacuation plan, coordinating evacuation activities as appropriate
• Immediately report any incidents or claims to Operations Manager or Shift Lead
• Refuel and maintain shuttle equipment, keeping fuel use logs
• Maintain a clean work environment by disinfecting the shuttle after each use
• Perform pre‑inspection and post‑inspection activities to ensure proper operating conditions and compliance with Department of Transportation standards and safety regulations
