Position: Central Receiving and Inventory Control Assistant - Part-Time

Central Receiving and Inventory Control Assistant - Part‑Time

2,000‑student institution located in Dalton, GA. This part‑time position (20 hours per week) supports the college’s mail, central receiving, and inventory control functions. The position is partially benefited and requires a minimum hourly rate of $15.67.

Priority consideration will be given to applicants who submit a complete application by November 28, 2025.

Responsibilities
  • Sort, identify, and deliver incoming mail to appropriate departments (40%).
  • Receive, check‑in, and log packages in the software system (25%).
  • Prepare outgoing mail: ensure proper postage, process and post mail in a timely manner, operate & maintain postage meter, create monthly postage report (15%).
  • Perform related duties (20%): unload, store, and distribute large equipment and furniture using forklifts and heavy equipment, assist with special event set‑up, manage inventoried items, store documents for shredding, maintain vehicles & equipment, assist with surplus pickup.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Less than one year of related experience.
  • Valid Georgia driver’s license for the vehicle or equipment operated.
