. This is a contract, on-site position offering an excellent opportunity for an Associate-level physician to deliver high-quality patient care in a collaborative and patient-focused clinical environment.
In this role, you will diagnose, treat, and manage patients with benign and malignant blood disorders and solid tumors, working closely with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, pharmacists, pathologists, and allied health professionals. You will play a vital part in developing individualized treatment plans, overseeing chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration, and supporting patients and their families throughout the continuum of care.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, imaging, and laboratory results
- Administer and monitor chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic medical records
- Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, and side effects
- Monitor treatment response and adjust care plans as clinically indicated
- Participate in tumor board meetings and clinical case reviews
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulations
- Provide timely follow-up and survivorship care for patients in remission
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advances in hematology and oncology
- MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) degree
- Board certification or eligibility in Hematology and Oncology
- Associate-level clinical experience in hematology oncology
- Active and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state
- Valid DEA registration
- Proficiency in interpreting diagnostic tests and imaging
- Experience administering chemotherapy and immunotherapy
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
- Proficiency with electronic medical records systems
Level II Trauma Center
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday (8a-5p) and Friday (8a-12p)
Call: 4 days per month, including 2 weekend days
Setting:
Outpatient
Patient Volume: 18-20 per day
Hematology/medical oncology split
Support Staff:
Hematologist Oncologists, Radiation Oncologist, APPs
EMR:
Epic
Must be board-certified
