Student Assistant – UITS Help Desk Night Time

Location: Columbus State University

Employment Type: Temporary, Part‑Time (up to 25 hours per week)

The CSU Computer Help Desk provides technical support to CSU users as they utilize technology to further the University’s mission. We are looking for students who are friendly, helpful, and willing to learn with excellent verbal and written communication skills. This customer‑service position will provide courteous, prompt, and accurate technical assistance to faculty, staff, and students in person, via telephone, and via email, and may also involve classroom call support.

• Assist students with logging into UITS‑supported student accounts.
• Assist students in using lab equipment, including computers, scanners, print‑release stations, and printers.
• Help students with the usage of general lab software.
• Enforce all UITS computer lab rules.
• Troubleshoot technical issues with mobile devices and computers.
• Assist with writing techniques and etiquette.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Customer service and technical experience preferred.

Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Position hours: up to 25 hours per week.
